Robin  Condon
Title: Manager Health, Safety, Radation Protection and He
Company: NB Power

Robin’s career advice to young people is, “Continue to develop yourself. Do not limit yourself to your field. Do not say no to new possibilities.” With her positive outlook, it comes as no surprise that Robin loves being a leader – “motivating and enabling others to do well.”
As the manager of safety for New Brunswick Power at Point Lepreau Generating Station, Robin’s position involves planning, budgeting, setting expectations and standards. She enjoys the sense of accomplishment from planning goals and achieving her targets.
Before she began her career in the nuclear industry, Robin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, diplomas in Registered Nursing and Occupational Health and two professional certifications: CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) and CCOHN (Canadian Council for Occupational Health Nurses).
Robin’s positive outlook, leadership skills and desire to mentor others are the result of being encouraged by many people who made a positive impact on her life. “Frank G. – believed in me. Claire H. – encouraged me. Suzanne D. – showed me what mentorship and professionalism looked like.”
Inspired by the opportunity to network with other professional women in nuclear, Robin joined the WiN-New Brunswick chapter. She enjoys being a member of an organization that encourages women to succeed and helps them to be heard. Robin finds it very rewarding to build relationships with other women working in the nuclear industry and learn from each other’s experiences.
Away from work, Robin enjoys socializing with friend, boating, swimming, and reading.
